DIRECTV Rolls Out Six New Local HD Markets;
Local HD Programming Now Available in 115 Markets

Des Moines-Ames, Iowa; El Paso, Texas; Fort Wayne, Ind.;
La Crosse-Eau Claire, Wis.; Peoria-Bloomington, Ill.; and Rockford, Ill. Now Have Local HD Channels from DIRECTV

WHAT: DIRECTV, Inc., the nation's leading satellite television service provider, is now offering local HD programming to customers in 115 markets following the launch today of HD local channels in Des Moines-Ames, Iowa; El Paso, Texas; Fort Wayne, Ind.; La Crosse-Eau Claire, Wis.; Peoria-Bloomington, Ill.; and Rockford, Ill.

With the launch of six new HD markets, DIRECTV now offers access to local HD broadcast channels to more than 87 percent of U.S. TV households.
WHEN: Beginning today, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008.
HOW: To receive DIRECTV's local HD programming, customers must have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV PlusĀ® HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish. For information on how to get DIRECTV HD consumers can visit DIRECTV.com.
