The publicly available RVU standard allows a single server in a household to serve multiple clients simultaneously, providing every TV in a household the same consistent User Interface and experience. RVU servers provide a single, easily upgradable central point in the home that enables service providers to present their UI on compatible CE devices with no additional hardware required, providing DVR features directly on that CE device. Demonstrations at IBC will include RVU servers, and TV, and set-top box based RVU client devices.
